Jesus said in the book of Matthew 22:37 “Love the lord God with all
your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.” Here at PBC
we as men try to live up to what Jesus said. We have a great ministry
with this vision “For all men to grow fruitful through the word of
Jesus Christ.” Some folks ask “How many do you have in your ministry?”
I say all of them. Every man here is important to our church’s
ministry. We as men are called by God to be spiritual leaders of our
homes and of our families. We also serve in our local community from
small home projects to visiting local nursing homes. We also have a
blast getting together and studying God’s word in a small group
setting. Our Men’s Ministry has become known for our apple butter that
we make in the fall. It’s a lot of work, but worth all the time and
effort. So if you are looking for adventure and excitement look no
further. From Bible Studies to dove hunting, we’ve got it. So come
learn more about what Jesus has called us as men to do. We will be
looking for you.
Leader: Brad Bays Quest Ministries has been a valuable part of Palestine Baptist Church for about 10 years now. The word
Quest can be defined – In search of – and our mission is to use sports
and other activities to find and cultivate relationships with the
un-churched of our community. We have become very well known primarily
because of the Wild Game Dinner we have each year in February. However,
we also host the Fishers of Men bass tournament series each year, as
well as many other activities. Some events we have hosted over the
years have been golf tournaments, kickball tournaments, children’s
fishing tournaments, volleyball tournaments, opening day lunch for
hunting season, and even a Fall festival. We plan to continue to reach
out to our community with similar type events in the future.
Leader: Glynda Carver
The purpose of the Women’s Ministry of Palestine Baptist Church is to assist and encourage women in
the most important relationships of their lives – with Jesus, with
family, with church, and with other women. The vision of the Women’s
Ministry is to minister (within the church family as well as in the
community) by providing opportunities for spiritual growth that is
centered on God’s Word. Women’s Ministry currently has a Leadership
Team consisting of nine ladies. Ours ministries include Secret Sisters,
Meals for Women, Caring and Sharing, Discipleship, Girls’ Night Out ,
and a Sr. Ladies Annual Fellowship.
