Girl’s Night Live - February 26th at 6:30 p.m. Girl’s
Night Live February 26th at 6:30 p.m. at the Roanoke Performing Arts
Theatre featuring Mandisa, Britt Nicole and Laura Story invites you to
bring the special women in your life together for a music filled night
that lifts your spirits, connects you on a deeper level, and reminds
you that no matter what you are going through, YOU ARE NOT
ALONE!! Sign up at Information Station if you are interested in
going with us! Women's Ministry is trying to get enough women together
to get a group rate of $20 each. Regular ticket price is $23,
$32.50. We need 15 women for the group rate.
Zumba Class Starts Tuesday, February 28th at 7:00 p.m.

Bates know if you are planning to attend so that we know how big of a
space we need. This is for women only. We are currently
looking at Tuesday nights from 7:00-8:00. If this is not a good
time for the majority, we will try and discuss another time on the
first night of class. The first two weeks of class will be to go
over the different moves down to make it easier for those of us that
are not so coordinated. This will be a great time of fellowship
along with exercise
Wild Game Dinner Side Dishes
There is a
sign up sheet at Information Station for the sides, take the pan that
is for your specific side, fill it and have it here at the church Feb
25th by 5:30 p.m. Don’t forget we need LOTS of meats and desserts, so
if you didn’t get a chance to get a pan, just make a BIG DISH of meat
and/or dessert. Contact Amy Stephenson with any questions at 297-2201.
Passions Classes Urgent Need
Passions is
in desperate need of willing adults to help teach classes to our
children grades 3 - 5. Our Spring session begins in a few
weeks and we only have two classes being offered. Please
donate your time to make a difference in the lives of our
children. Please contact Mike Jones 540-580-9788 or at
mikej56@aol.com as soon as possible.
Passion for Fashion
is currently taking
place at Staunton River Middle School. There are 15 girls
involved, and funds are needed to take them shopping for the modesty
fashion show. If you would like to donate please see Kelly
Overstreet, or send a check to SRMS PTA, ear mark for Passion for
Fashion. Thank you for your support, and continued prayers.
Men’s Bible Study - February 8th -
“Guardrails” Avoiding Regrets in Your Life by Andy Stanley. It’s a
6 week study starting February 8th at 6:30 p.m. in the Lighthouse
Classroom. The cost is $9. Contact Brandon Tuck if you have any
questions.
Vacation Bibl School 2012
This year's Vacation Bible School is July 16-21. See the "Kids"
and “VBS” page on our web site for the theme, to register a child, or
to sign up as a volunteer. You can also sign up at Information
Station. It may seem too early plan for VBS but really it's
not. Please consider adding your time and talents to this
important ministry. It is our community mission field. If

Christmas Cards
Julie
Arther needs your old Christmas Cards. She only wants ones that
are about Christ's birth. Please drop them off at the Information
Station.
Wild Game Dinner Tickets - Still Some AvailableMonday-Friday from 9:00
a.m.-1:00 p.m. in the Church Office. Tickets are $10 for 12 and
older. There will be NO free children’s tickets. There is a
limit of 5 tickets per person per week. The Wild Game Dinner will
be Saturday, February 25th at 6:30 p.m. If you are participating
in the mount contest, please arrive early. Also, everyone is
asked to bring a wild game dish. Have it cut and ready to
serve. The guest speaker will be Alan Robertson The Duckman Live
Ministry “The Road Home” from Louisiana. Tickets are on sale for church
members only, Tuesday December 27th in the church office from
9-1. Tickets will go on sale for the public on January 2nd.
Tickets will be $10 for 12 yrs-adults. There will be NO free
children’s tickets.
Women's Ministry - Birthday Wishes Women’s
Ministry would like to send warm Happy Birthday greetings to Peggy
Blankenship on February 22nd and Terry Evans on February 24th.
Apple Butter For Sale
Apple Butter made by the Fruit of Life Ministry will be sold on
Wednesday Nights before 6:30 p.m. The cost is $9.00 a quart and
$5.00 a pint. See Brandon Tuck in the "Servants" Classroom if you
are interested.
Hearts For the Harvest Proceeds
Proceeds
from the fund raiser event are currently at $5,277.00 Thank you
to all who had a part in this mission's event. Your giving
supports our missions projects, and you can still give by completing a
church envelope and designating the amount to: Missions Scholarship Fund.
Salmon Frenzy 2012...It is all about SERVING
The Alaskan residents as they come to the mouth of the Kenai River and
dip net salmon. Maybe you would like to serve by doing
construction work for folks around the town. See JP or Kathy
Smith if you are interested in this mission project or if you have any
questions.

Mission Link Widow's Ministry
Mission Link Widow’s Ministry is accepting all donations of crochet
hooks size L,M, or N. Bring to Information Station by November
6th.

If anyone is aware of any shut-ins who are not receiving the church

Children's Church Workers Needed

Military Bibles
Available at Information Station for anyone to pick up, take
home, write a message in the bible, bring back with $5 to send to our
troops overseas. This is a great way to show your appreciation
for their hard work.

have a lot of families in our community that need food. Help

Prayer Requests
If
you have a prayer request, please place it in the black wire basket at
the information station. Include your name and telephone
number. It a name has been removed and you would like for it to
remain on the prayer request list, simply resubmit the name.
