Why We Give

 

Giving is a celebration, not a chore. It is not so much about money, as it is about love and where our hearts are focused. God instructs us to give the first tenth of our earnings back to Him to be used for His glory. We give to God because we love Him. When you give back to God with a joyful heart, you are obeying Him, honoring Him, and trusting Him.

“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth... But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven… For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also…"

​

No one can serve two masters. Either you will hate the one and love the other, or you will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and money.”

Matthew 6:19-21, 24

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."  2 Corinthians 9:7

“Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Luke 6:38

What We Give

 

At PBC, we practice tithing. That means we start by giving God the first tenth of our income. When I follow God’s direction and tithe to my church, I am trusting God to do more with 90% of my income than I can do with 100% of it.

"A tithe of everything…belongs to the Lord; it is holy to the Lord."  Leviticus 27:30

“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse... Test Me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.”  Malachi 3:10

How We Give

 

Tithing at PBC is easy! We have three different ways to give: online, in person (by dropping your cash or check on Sunday into our offering boxes), or by downloading our Church Center Giving App (instructions below).

How to set up an account with CHURCH CENTER.

  1. Go to https://churchcenter.com

  2. Click GET STARTED or download the app then GET STARTED

  3. Click USE MY LOCATION or SEARCH MANUALLY

  4. If you SEARCH MANUALLY type PALESTINE BAPTIST CHURCH and enter the address 9244 SMITH MTN LAKE PKWY

  5. Tap the PALESTINE BAPTIST CHURCH logo

  6. Tap THIS IS MY CHURCH

  7. Enter your mobile phone number and tap NEXT

  8. They will send you a code to enter. Enter it on your mobile device.

  9. You will be prompted to LOG IN (You may enable Face ID or Not) Once set up…

  10. Click GIVE at the bottom middle of the screen and follow prompt to set up account.
